According to the U.K. Times Barack Obama now admits his involvement in a land deal was a "boneheaded mistake."

The article states: "A British-Iraqi billionaire lent millions of dollars to Barack Obama's fundraiser just weeks before an imprudent land deal that has returned to haunt the presidential contender, an investigation by The Times discloses."

Apparently, one of Britain's wealthiest men, Nadhmi Auchi, loaned millions of dollars to Obama's fundraiser (the article says Obama's bagman) which may have helped Obama buy his mansion in Chicago.

The loan went to Antoin "Tony" Rezko on May 23 2005 and three weeks later, on June 15, Obama bought a house on the city's South Side while Mr Rezko's wife bought the garden plot next door from the same seller on the same day.

Obama claims he never used Mrs. Rezko's lot, which could only be reached through Obama's property BUT he does admit to having his gardner cut the grass.

It gets better! Seven months later Mrs. Rezko sold Obama a 10 foot strip of her property so he could have a bigger garden. He bought the property from her even though it was common knowledge that Mr. Rezko was under investigation. Mr. Rezko goes on trial for corruption charges on March 3 in Chicago. What a great guy for someone who wants to be our president to be involved with!

Who knows? Maybe Hillary was on to something when she tried to link Obama to a slum lord during a debate.

All we really know is Rezko is a scum bag (and maybe slum lord) who Obama admits he helped as an Illinois state senator by writing letters to housing officials urging them to provide money in support of a proposed apartment building for elderly people which Mr. Rezko wanted to build.

The plot in this story is very, very deep.
