What the hell?

How in the world are we supposed to stop illegals from working when a federal judge has blocked a proposed rule requiring employers to fire workers whose names don't match their social security numbers?

According to the Associated Press, U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer's temporary injunction, issued Wednesday, stopped the Department of Homeland Security proposal from going into effect, at least temporarily.

Seriously, is it really too much to ask that businesses make sure that workers' names match their social security numbers? The proposal even gave employers and employees three months to fix mistakes, thus getting names and numbers to match if the worker is actually legal.

This proposal was simple, stop illegals from working. What in the world is wrong with that? Should we just continue to let people illegally rush across our border with Mexico and get jobs? These are jobs Americans could hold, and please don't give us the tired line that they are jobs Americans will not do. In life, if you have bills to pay, a roof to keep over your head and need to put food on the table you will take whatever work you can get. Illegals take whatever work they can get and guess what, so will Americans, so long as we don't keep making it easy for illegals to take jobs.
